Nobody can argue that a healthy lifestyle has both short and long term health benefits. Long term, eating a balanced diet, taking regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight can add years to your life and reduce the risk of certain diseases including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and obesity. I believe that, and that’s why on this installment of Coop Knows NH, I’m going down to my home away from home at The Zoo Health Club!

The Zoo Health Club provides the means, expertise, motivation, and atmosphere that will enable people of all fitness levels the ability to achieve their individual fitness goals and promote a healthier way of living through an inviting environment. I know that a lot of gyms make this claim, but I believe that The Zoo Health Club really does take this mission statement to heart.
But as most of you know, a lot of people get gym memberships, go once or twice, then never go back. Let’s take a look at some common reasons why that happens.

I have kids! I can’t afford a babysitter three or four times a week so that I can go workout!
This is an issue for a lot parents. They can’t go to the gym because they can’t get a babysitter. Babysitting hours match up with morning and evening group fitness classes. You can check out the babysitting hours at the Manchester and Derry locations.
Prolonged Results
Sometimes when we don’t see results right away, we lose motivation and purpose. Humans tend to want immediate gratification, and it can be irritating when we don’t see it in one of those many mirrors on the wall. (It’s important to note that we are still doing our bodies a tremendous favor by exercising) One of the ways you prevent that and see real results is by training with the Pure Core team. They are a Personal Training team who are comprised of some of the finest fitness professionals available who provide guidance for any age, skill set, existing medical condition or sport specific needs. They are committed to providing an inspiring, positive and results driven experience. But I’ll warn you, when you sign up, you’re committing to work hard, and if you do, you will see some serious results.
Atmosphere
Some facilities aren’t the most desirable. There may be only a few machines that the same sweaty person constantly takes up. That’s why at The Zoo Health Club their weight rooms are fully loaded and have everything you need to train hard and train right with plenty of space to do it in. In the Manchester location they recently added over 7000 square feet of workout space, so you don’t have to worry about it being crowded and waiting around to get onto a machine. The weight rooms have Dumbbells that go all of the way up to 150lbs, and plenty of them. As far as cardio equipment goes, at the Zoo Gym they offer the Preva networked fitness program available which is a state-of-the-art system on each piece of cardio equipment. With this system you can input your personal fitness goals and track them every time you work out. Which can really help you see results quickly. You can also watch watch customized news feeds, TV channel access, and web browsing all from the touch screen of your favorite cardio equipment. So this is a really good way to stay on track with your goals and make getting there that much more fun.

The Gym isn’t fun
This certainly doesn’t apply to the Zoo Health Club. But If something isn’t fun or engaging, we tend to drop it. This is why many people never go to art museums or avoid watching soccer. And it applies in the gym as well. If you’re going but not having a good time, or aren’t engaged in what you’re doing? Your commitment to getting fit isn’t going to last long. One way to easily add some fun into your gym routine is to take a group fitness class. You become a part of a group of people that will help keep you accountable to your goals in a big classroom with passionate instructors. You can check out the class schedules for Manchester and Derry and find the classes just right for you.
Hours

Like Ernesto said in the video above. The Zoo Health Club is open 24/7. They’re going to be open on Snow Days, Holidays, even the Zombie Apocalypse! So the gym being closed isn’t going to be a problem for you.

So if you’re thinking of making your health and fitness your new years resolution for 2019, you should go check out the Zoo Health Club, they’ll even give you a three day pass to get started. However, if you mention CoopKnowsNH when you go in, they are going to give you a 14 day trial. So now, you’ll be able to see results BEFORE you ever pay a dime!
