Want the advantages of city life without its shortcomings? Merrimack, New Hampshire is the place for you! On this episode of Coop Knows New Hampshire, I share with you just how special and awesome living in Merrimack can be.

Its convenient location makes it easy to be at the Manchester airport in fifteen minutes, an hour from the Boston airport, 45 minutes from the beach, and right in the middle of the two major surrounding towns, Nashua and Manchester. The best part about Merrimack though, is that it offers so much to do, you don’t need to travel the distance!

One of the best things about Merrimack, is all of the opportunities to be outdoors. More specifically, the hiking trails it has to offer. Twin Bridge Parks tends to be one of the most popular parks in the area and it’s easy to tell why. With beautiful scenic views, a children’s playground, and well groomed hiking trails that leads to a quaint pond. This is the perfect place to go to get the kids out of the house, or even your dog! Other trails/hikes close by include, Wildcat Falls, Greater Wood Millepede Loop, Loop Trail, and Maple Trail Loop.

An important factor when deciding where to live, or where to take a visit is, of course, the food. There’s places like The Village Eatery, Tucker’s, and my personal favorite, Buckley’s. Buckley’s truly has it all. You can stop into their bakery in the morning for coffee and sweets, and then hit them up again for dinner and the best steak of your life! Their wood grilled food mixed with the rustic tavern feel is reason enough to give Merrimack a visit.

If you’re looking to live in Merrimack there are plenty of housing options. They have beautiful apartments, condos, townhouses, all the way to single family homes. The neighborhoods are safe, scenic, and surrounded by all the fun the area has to offer. If settling down isn’t in your plans yet, definitely come to Merrimack for a visit! This would make for a great weekend getaway with friends, family, or a loved one!

Some of the activities around include Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour, Greeley Park, and last but certainly not least, the Merrimack Outlets. You can arrive on a Friday evening and get dinner at Buckley’s, head back there Saturday morning for breakfast before heading on a hike in Twin Bridge Park and then spend the rest of the day doing some retail therapy at the outlets which features 100 brand designers. Spend your Sunday relaxing at the brewery sipping on a nice beverage and taking in the scenic views. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me! What are you waiting for?
